Silantro Fil-Mex Cantina

I was never really a fan of Mexican food before, I don't exactly know why but it just doesn't make me go wow. However, my friend told me that we should try this new restaurant in Kapitolyo that serves Filipino-Mexican food. It's new and everyone's actually posting their #foodselfie on Instagram so I said, why not?

I think we probably ordered too much but O M G. This restaurant is nothing short of amazing. It's definitely the beeeest mexican restaurant I've ever tried!!! The cheese...the meat...the fresh salsa and vegetables on the side.. WOW. Just wow. It was heaven!!! I really can't tell you how happily surprised I was when I had my first bite on their nachos! Aaaaahhh it was just so good!!!!! ❤️

Beef Nachos (P180)
It's so sulit! For only P180, you'll have the cheesiest, meatiest and super duper crunchy nachos chips! YUM!!!
Lucha Tacos (Hard shell tacos) P95
I chose beef and lengua for my meat which only cost P85 (Medio). You can also have only 1 meat for your taco (Ligero, P65) or choose 3 meats for you to fully enjoy your taco madness! (Completo, P100). You can choose among pork, lamb, lengua, chicken, ox tail and beef.
Lucha Tacos (Soft shell tacos) P95
For this I had Beef and Chicken. The tacos were soft and kinda gives you a light feeling while munching on it.
Quesadillas (P160)
My all-time favourite! This super cheesy quesadillas just literally melts in your mouth. The rich creamy flavour that will make you speechless. *drooool*  If you're a cheese lover like me, this dish will definitely be your next comfort food! 🙌🏼
Grilled Mahi-mahi (P210)
Fresh, perfectly cooked and feeling the tropics vibe. Those were the right words to describe this dish. If you want to eat light and still feel the Mexican vibe, try this!
Skewers
The beef was juicy and tender while the sauce has the perfect blend of Mexican spices that you won't get enough of. Plus, it comes with a creamy mashed potato.

Happy Manila #WSFC

World Street Food Congress (WSFC) is now here in Manila! This is an event wherein participants from almost 10 countries will offer their street food specialities which will last for 5 days; from April 20-24. I'm so happy that Filipinos will no longer have to travel just to taste and indulge these famous street foods that each country has to offer. Such an unforgettable experience!

WSFC is located at Federacion Drive corner 9th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City (near Mcdonalds) This event is open to public but make sure to be here as early as possible to avoid long queues at the entrance. Oh and btw, entrance is FREE!!!

 Filipino Street Food
Lechon with spicy truffle Paella by Lechon Diva (P350)
Definitely our Pinoy's Pride! The meat was really tender and the Lechon's skin was so crispy!! Ahhhh it's so good! One of the best lechon ever!!!!

Satay Beehon (P250)
Soft rice noodle topped with peanut satay sauce with seafood, tofu and satay meat. This Singaporean dish is not only authentic but the flavours will just make you wow.

 Bali Ribs (P350)
This Indonesian Ribs is definitely not your typical ribs! It's not sweet and the meat was soooo juicy!

 Chap (P300)
Braised duck meat, pig's giblets, pork belly, boiled egg and yam rice. If you're looking for a dish that will fill your tummy, try this Singaporean Street food.

Churros Locos' very accommodating owner :) you can see how tired she was but she still managed to smile for her customers.
Churros Sundae (P299)
This baby is the bomb. The churros were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside but chewy on the inside. With vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and topped with either chocolate or strawberry syrup and colourful sprinkles! YUM!!!

Hot Air Balloon Festival

I know it's been months since The Hot Air Balloon Festival happened but I just got so busy with my life that I wasn't been able to edit my photos and write blogs :( BUUUUT as the old saying goes, it's better late than never right?? :)

So the 20th Hot Air Balloon Festival 2016 happened last February 10-14 in Clark Pampanga. This event happens every year and each year, they make it more extravagant than ever. We got there at around 7:30AM which means we're late for the 6:30AM show (aww huhu) The good thing was we we're able to see it from a distance!!! Thank you sunrise for adding colour to this beauty!

Tip: If you want to have a picture this close to the balloon, make sure to catch it before it flies. The balloons don't really have a permanent place where they land so if you find one, you better ruuun and immediately strike a pose!!

Aside from these cutiepatootie balloons, there's also a wide variety of food that you can choose from.

Don't forget to have an Instagram worthy post before leaving this place!! 😋

Missed it? Don't worry cause Hot Air Balloon Festival is happening again on April 14-17 at the Pradera Verde, Prado Siongco, Lubao, Pampanga.

Tickets available at SM Tickets priced at P280 for One-Day Pass.
