Gastro Park

Last year, food parks dominated our instagram feeds with its unique setting and cozy ambiance to fill our stomachs with savory dishes. This year, more and more places are having this set-up which are usually placed at an empty parking lot but instead of seeing cars, it's loaded with food stalls!! AAAHHH!  Kapitolyo is known as one of the restaurant heaven in the Metro. And now, they have created their own food park which is called Gastro Park.

Looking for Instagram worthy backgrounds? Take a photo with your family and friends before entering the park!

There are variety of restaurants to choose from but sadly, my tummy can't handle them all :( however, i will definitely come back and try these on my next visit! Hehe. Stuffed By Offbeat(doughnut burgers? why not?), Niku-Q (Yakitori joint), Chixy9 (for all chicken lovers), The Masala Bar (Indian Cuisine), El Phante (Thai-Mexican Joint), Bagneto (bagnet with a twist), Tolyo's Soup and Grill (love bulalo? try their mexican bulalo soup!)

Para: Filipino Sandwich Bar
Upon entering the park, this head-turner gigantic truck will definitely make you check their menu. PS: This is not your ordinary pandesal. 😛

Sweet Nothings
is the only stall that serves a wide variety of drinks. For fruit juices, I had Brewed Lemon Iced Tea and Four Seasons (P30 for 12oz, P40 for 16oz and P50 for 22oz). It also serves milkshakes with cotton candy on top aside from fresh juices and sodas.

Feeling Asian? Try Pad Thai noodles from Wok. P130
I don't know if it's just me but it somehow tastes like beef hofan haha! But still, it's so good!!

 Brick Plate
serves American dishes such as Ribs, Pizza and Steak.

Tokyo Tempura's
signature tempura. Craving for tempuras? Head over here and have a dose of unlimited tempura for only P199! They also offer 9pcs tempura for P105.

View from Tokyo Tempura and Stuffed by Offbeat.
Kaboom by Surfies
The fries will be torched in front of you so you can really have a closer look of the melting cheese ❤️ P145

For dessert, you can have The Seventh Element which serves Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream. As for now, they only have limited flavors to choose from.

Hi Kuya! Where are you looking at? HAHA

I had Oreo and Cream Cheese. It was good but the consistency is too much. It kinda feels like I'm eating a pure cream cheese instead of eating an ice cream, so it tends to be nakakaumay. However, for people who really loves cheesecake, this will be a perfect dessert for you! P150

Gastro Park is located at #12 1st Street, Kapitolyo, Pasig. Opens every Monday, 4pm-12mn and Tuesday-Sunday, 12nn-12mn. Instagram: @gastropark_ph

Kapitolyo Gem

Are you a fan of soft shell crabs? Well, this hidden gem in Kapitolyo will definitely make your tummy go round! Crispy Crab Seafood Shack started 2014 with a stall in the Greenfield Weekend Market in Mandaluyong then followed by their second branch in Rockwell Tent. I remembered when my sister told me that she just tasted the best soft shell crab burger in Rockwell but sadly, I wasn't able to try it. After years of curiosity  I finally tried the burger that I've been craving for! (Yes i've been craving for it even though I haven't tasted it yet hehe) Ready to drool over these seafood goodness??????

Beach vibes all over the place.

The place is filled with instagram worthy spots!

#CRUNCHYCRAB

Soft Shell Crab and Crunchy Crab's House blended Lemon Iced Tea

Soft Shell Crab Burger. I really can't find the words to describe how delicious this burger was. It was love at first bite. The crab was really good, it's deeply fried on the outside but still juicy on the inside and garnished with lettuce and mango salsa. The size of the burger is appropriate for the price too. P245 (add P15 for the fries)

Fish Taco. My second favorite!!!! I love the combination of flavors in each bite. If you love Mexican food, then you should definitely try this! All tacos are stuffed with guacamole, coleslaw, mango and sriracha aioli. YUM!! P120

Shrimp BLT. It has Cajun Flavor which makes the burger a little bit spicy. Great work in combining American and Cajun flavors! P220 (add P15 for the fries)

They also serve Bucket of Joy (either Crab or Shrimp) with a choice of Original, Spicy, Salted Egg and Mango Tango for your sauce. If you really want to feel the summer-beach vibes, they also have alcoholic quenchers like Beer and Sunset Mojito.

Crunchy Crab is located at 16 United Street, Kapitolyo, Pasig City. Opens daily from 11:30am-2:30pm, 6:00pm-11:30pm.
